Reversible & Irreversible Electroporation Literature Map
This portal brings the two regimes of electroporation into a single searchable literature database. Electrochemotherapy is the clinical application of reversible electroporation together with a cytotoxic drug; irreversible electroporation (IRE) is an ablative method that works without a drug. 2,821 publications, 1988–2026, across 22 application areas.
Oncology corpus: 2,821 publication records, split by method:
Separate axes: 863 publications of the same corpus are clinical studies, case series or case reports (31%). Independently of these, 387 clinical trial registry records are a separate dataset and are not publications (322 ClinicalTrials.gov, 65 other registries).

How Much Literature Is There in Each Indication?
22 application areas by tissue group. For each area the first figure is the number of publications labelled ECT and the figure after the slash is the total across all electroporation methods. That total also covers IRE, PFA, gene electrotransfer and other methods, and must not be read as the ECT literature on its own. Scope: the oncology corpus.
