Cardiac Pulsed-Field Ablation
Non-Oncological Applications
Cardiac pulsed-field ablation uses irreversible electroporation to treat atrial fibrillation and is the largest clinical application of electroporation outside oncology. Its tissue selectivity, sparing adjacent structures such as the oesophagus and phrenic nerve, is the same property sought in tumour ablation. This area falls outside the oncological scope of the portal and does not appear in the indication landscape; it is kept in the corpus as context.
